Jennifer Lopez has been accused of copying her latest track "On The Floor" from a record by R&B singer Kat Deluna. The Jenny From The Block hitmaker debuted her new single on Ryan Seacrest's American radio show on Tuesday (18Jan11), and fans have already slated the song for its resemblance to DeLuna's track Party O'Clock, which was released in Europe in November (10). Critics have pointed out that both tracks were produced by music mogul RedOne and they claim the lyrics and harmonies are similar. Lopez sings on her record, "Cuz London to Ibiza/Straight to L.A. New York/Vegas to Africa," while DeLuna chants, "Party in Ibiza, Party in New York/All the way to Africa/Love in the Caribbean/On my way to Vegas.” One web blogger has even made a video 'mash-up' of the two tracks to demonstrate their likeness, writing, "J Lo needs to thank Kat DeLuna.” But DeLuna is adamant she's happy with the similarity of the records because she's such a huge fan of Lopez, telling the New York Daily News, "It’s cool that artists like J.Lo are inspired by my musical sound and style. Jennifer helped pave the way for Latinas like myself. I love her.”

Jennifer Lopez drops by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (January 18) to chat about her new gig on American Idol. The 41-year-old entertainer shared that she’s excited to work with Ryan Seacrest, contrary to tabloid reports that the two had a rivalry. “We always have jokes like that because from the very beginning, as soon as everybody knew I was doing the show, it was like we didn’t get along. Ryan is my friend. He’s a friend of mine and Marc’s for like years now. And so it was funny they picked the two of us but it’s fine. We just laugh about it. Everybody knows he has a bigger entourage than I do. It’s no secret in the business,” Jennifer shared. But, she added, “He definitely has so many more shoes than me. I mean, I’m telling you. It’s crazy!”

Jennifer Lopez is a fan of Jennifer Lopez. The new American Idol judge shared with her followers a picture of herself on a Los Angeles balcony overlooking her very own billboard. The giant Sunset Blvd. billboard is an ad for the new Gucci Children's Collection. It shows JLo and her twins, Emme and Max, dressed in their Gucci finest while sitting on a Malibu beach. Jenny from the Block tweeted: "Quick pose after lunch..and check the background! ;-)" referring to the billboard seen over her shoulder in the pic. The mega-star is in great spirits, definitely enjoying her new role as an AI judge, and she thinks the talent show will do just fine minus Simon Cowell when it returns to Fox January 19. "We’re more of a collaborative judging group. We’re always leaning over to each other and saying, ‘Oh my God, I think she’s good,’ Lopez told Entertainment Weekly. "We discuss things. We just have a totally different style than any of the past judging tables.”

Jennifer Lopez worries about 'American Idol' auditionees and hates eliminations. The 41-year-old singer has joined Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson on the judging panel of the latest series of the star-search show but admitted yesterday (11.01.11) she was anxious about a planned cull of half the contestants later that day. She said: "I feel really anxious about cutting half the kids today, I really do. I'm really not looking forward to it. You want to pick the right ones and you want to see who's really going to make a great show, and at the same time, be great artists. But I feel like we have so many good ones that we are going to lose some good ones today. And that's what bothers me." Along with worrying about eliminated contestants, Jennifer admitted she is also constantly thinking about those left in the competition and hopes they all achieve their full potential. She said: "I get very involved and attached to the kids, in the sense of their trajectory and watching them. I realise that when we went away before we did Hollywood Week, I was thinking about the kids so much before we went back for the Las Vegas round. "I was just like, 'Oh, my God, I hope that so-and-so does good, and I wish this one would just let go a little more ... ' You just get involved ... You hope that they do great." While Jennifer follows in the footsteps of Simon Cowell, Paul Abdul, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres in taking on a role on the judging panel she is not worried about comparisons and actually thinks she incorporates the best of all of them. She said: "I can't really say I would be like any one judge. I think that I have a combination of qualities that make me who I am and gives me a specific style of how I deal with the kids and how I dish out the truth - and also dish out the comfort. That's just part of who I am."

The girlfriend of Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband is planning to go to court Friday to seek a temporary restraining order against J.Lo, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively. Claudia Vasquez is making an ex parte application in Los Angeles Superior Court for the order against the Jenny From The Block singer. If Vasquez wins, she will look to turn the temporary restraining order into a permanent one and then proceed with a TV project about the singer/actress and now American Idol judge. It's the latest twist in years-long litigation between Lopez and her ex-husband Ojani Noa and his manager Ed Meyer. In a story broken exclusively by RadarOnline.com, Vasquez sued J.Lo for $10 million earlier this month, charging that the star interfered with a movie deal. She amended the lawsuit to include an allegation that J.Lo also restrained her from a TV deal. "If Jennifer Lopez loses, it will be catastrophic for her, and will also completely disprove J.Lo's case against Ojani and I," Meyer told RadarOnline.com. Meyer and Noa have sought to use home video of Jlo that was taken by Noa. But they have lost in court and are prohibited from releasing the video, some of which includes racy scenes. Vasquez will argue that J.Lo is stopping her from proceeding with her project and violating her rights and therefore should be restrained. A victory for Vasquez could open the door for the possibility of the home video being made public. RadarOnline.com has also learned that a $10 million lawsuit against JLo's parents for defamation is likely to be filed next week by Noa.

With Simon Cowell’s ballyhooed exit (to bring his British talent show The X Factor Stateside this fall), Ellen DeGeneres departing after just one season, and Kara DioGuardi’s contract left in the dustbin, American Idol is suddenly in its most uncertain condition since its June 2002 debut. But in EW’s exclusive roundtable interview with host Ryan Seacrest, returning judge Randy Jackson, and new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, Idol‘s new team doesn’t appear to be sweating Life After Simon. “It’s aged the show down a bit,” deadpans Seacrest of Cowell’s absence, while Jackson laughs. “There are less clouds of smoke. We start earlier. There’s less — what is that English dish he always ordered for lunch? Shepherd’s pie? He loves shephrerd’s pie.” “No, it’s the blood pudding,” jokes Jackson, before he turns serious. “Look, it’s definitely been interesting. We definitely miss [Simon], but it’s a different kind of vibe. It’s a different kind of energy now. And I think in season 10 the show actually really needed it….It’s not about replacing him or any of the others: Paula, Ellen, Kara, anybody else.
