The 41-year-old American actress-and-singer has been working hard lately, appearing as a judge on the tenth season of musical talent show American Idol, as well as enjoying chart success with dance track On the Floor, taken from her upcoming studio album Love?.
Her singer husband Marc Anthony – with whom she has three-year-old twins Emme and Max – works just as hard, so the couple prefer to spend as much time as possible relaxing at home together when they aren’t busy with career commitments.
“Where we really get time to ourselves, it’s in our own home. We don’t get to be home very often so it feels like a vacation!” she laughed in an interview with the British edition of OK! magazine.
Jennifer does enjoy exploring exotic destinations across the globe, but laments the fact that she often gets spotted by the paparazzi. The proud mother is happier playing at home with Emme and Max than she is jetting off on a luxury holiday.
“Honestly, I go home,” she replied when asked how she escapes the pressures of fame.
“We go to our houses, that’s where we get to be alone and have family time. When we go on vacation to Cabo or Europe or a tropical island, there’s usually paparazzi.”

A $10 million lawsuit filed by a woman who claims Jennifer Lopez interfered with her film project should be dismissed, according to court papers filed on behalf of the the singer/actress.
Lopez claims the movie Claudia Vazquez of Covina wants to make would deal in part with her first marriage, and that revealing the information would damage her career and could cause the public to "think badly" of her.
Vazquez says the project she wants to complete with Lopez's firstm husband, Ojani Noa, and writer Ed Meyer would be a "comedic parody of Noa's life crafted nearly entirely from material that is already in the public domain."
Lopez has her own lawsuit alleging invasion of privacy by Meyer and Noa.
She has an injunction stopping them from distributing home videos from the brief marriage and is appealing a judge's ruling that her claim for damages should be taken before an arbitrator.
Vazquez maintains the injunction has hindered her ability to produce and market the proposed film, and she says Lopez's attorney has also threatened her.
However, the actress' lawyers say the alleged threats -- letters warning Vazquez not to violate the injunction -- are "protected conduct," so Vazquez's suit should be tossed.
"I believe that Noa's and Meyer's dissemination of private and intimate details about me, whether true or fabricated, and my alleged relationship with Noa and also their exploiting false and disparaging descriptions and lies about me are highly damaging to me and to my career in the entertainment industry," Lopez says in her legal papers.
The actress also states that making such private facts public is "continuing to cause me great distress and embarrassment."
Lopez says Noa's alleged participation in the project has the potential to hurt her in many ways.
"I believe that Noa will damage my reputation with movie producers and businesses which contract with celebrities for the use of their names, likenesses and spokesperson services for commercial endorsements and may very well cause some members of the movie-going and record-buying public to think badly of me," Lopez states.
The entertainer states the damage may already have been done.
"It may be impossible or very difficult for me to ever know or prove what acting roles and other employment and endorsement opportunities that I did not obtain, or the actual amount of lost compensation, which are a direct result of Noa's statements, scripts, interviews, films, private video, book manuscripts and other things," Lopez says.
Lopez maintains Noa once wanted to write a tell-all book about their marriage, but he denies the allegation.
Lopez married Noa in 1997 and divorced him 11 months later.
A date has not yet been scheduled for her dismissal motion.
JENNIFER Lopez admits her career resurgence “just kind of worked out”.

The singer and actress — who’s back in the spotlight thanks to her judging gig on American Idol — says she didn’t plan to make a comeback.
“It wasn’t some grand master plan we had — it just kind of worked out that way,” Lopez said.
“I was working on a record, looking at some films. The American Idol thing was offered to me months and months before. I really wasn’t considering it. They came back again. Then I started thinking about it.
“I’m proud of the things I have done over the years. Whether they’ve had the biggest commercial success or not, I still feel like I’ve been on a journey and I’ve been growing and evolving, and that’s exciting.”
Lopez recently dismissed critics who claim that she is not a good singer, because she has finally come into her own and let go of doubts she had about her shortcomings.
“I’m very proud of who I am as a vocalist from where I started,” she said. “The voice was always there, I was just so insecure about it in the beginning.”
Lopez also credited husband Anthony with helping her to let go of her hang-ups about her musical talent and encouraging her as she recorded her upcoming album.
“Marc helped me so much because he was the one who was like, ‘You have a beautiful voice,’” she recalled.
“I think people are gonna be surprised with some of the vocals on this album. There’s even songs on this album that when he heard the demo, he was like, ‘You’re gonna sing that?’ When he heard my version, he was like, ‘Wow.’ Tears in his eyes. ‘I’m so proud of you.’”

"Feelin' So Good" is the fourth single from Jennifer Lopez's debut album, On the 6 (1999). Released in March 2000, it features rappers Big Pun and Fat Joe. Although it was released as the album's fourth single, Lopez wanted this song to be the lead single, instead of "If You Had My Love". While the song was less successful than her previous singles, it did receive positive reviews from music critics, claiming that it is one of Lopez's best songs. It contains a sample of Strafe's 1984 song "Set It Off".
The track was released on March 17, 2000, and reached #51 on the Billboard Hot 100 Single Charts.

Actress/Singer Jennifer "J.Lo" Lopez has taken her admiration toward Lil Wayne to the next level by reportedly snagging the Young Money star for a new collaboration called "I'm Into You."
Details on the eye-catching star's power move emerged online Sunday (March 13).
Jennifer Lopez has tapped into the collaboration well, known as Lil Wayne. During a web-chat last night with fans the singer, announced she was readying the follow up to "On The Floor." J. Lo plans on releasing her second single off "Love?" feature Weezy titled "I'm Into You." The "American Idol" judge noted Wayne was her current favorite rapper. She also spoke about being a judge, possible acting opportunities, and when the upcoming album may be released. (The Source).
Last month, Lopez turned heads after naming Wayne the greatest rapper out right now.
"I was working out yesterday and I was listening to Lil Wayne and I was just like, 'Wow. He really says some sh*t," Lopez explained. "But I was just listening to what he was saying and I really enjoyed it. He might be one of the best out there right now. He might be the best. He's really good...I love [Nicki Minaj]. I haven't heard the whole [Pink Friday] album, but I've heard her stuff that's been on the radio and stuff like that. I really enjoy it." (Hot 97)
West Coast producer Dr. Dre called Wayne one of his favorites last fall.
"It's aight," Dre said about the state of hip-hop. "There are a lot of artists that I like, I love Wayne, I love Drake, I love the new artist J. Cole. There's some new brothers coming out on my record, Slim the Mobster, he's out of South Central. I think it could be better and hopefully I can do my part to assist in that." (Rap-Up)
In addition to J. Lo, Wayne is currently working on multiple projects including records with T-Pain, Baby and Drake.
"I've had ideas to do an album with T-Pain. We've got the T-Wayne situation going, so Drake's a very respectable dude. He's like, 'I don't want to disrespect none of those situations, so I'm just going to wait 'til you have a real good moment to focus on you and I doing an album.' ... And then you know my obligations to the Like Father, Like Son albums with [Birdman aka] Stunna. It's like no disrespect to those. I don't want to clash with nothing." (MTV)

Jennifer Lopez claims Steven Tyler hates it when wannabe singers perform Aerosmith songs on American Idol.
2011.03.12 / by Ryan TweetShare
The pair have been on screen together as judges in the tenth series of the talent show since January, and appear to get on well together.
Jennifer says that Steven - who is famous for being lead singer of iconic US band Aerosmith - is great, yet finds it uncomfortable when performers try to wow him with efforts he has heard many times before.
"I don’t think Steven likes it so much when people sing his songs. Or at least, it doesn’t make him more endeared to the person," she told Look magazine.
However, the 41-year-old admits she is not as concerned when those at auditions choose her hits. Jennifer believes that this is a compliment, rather than an effort to destroy the tunes, although there are moments when it can get a bit close to the bone. "I don’t care as much. When someone comes in and does a beautiful rendition of your song it’s really touching," she explained. "But when they come in and butcher it, then it’s a bit different." She says Cee Lo Green and Bruno Mars covers are most popular.
The gorgeous megastar revealed that she was scared because she has always had a cue when on television. American Idol is unscripted - judges respond to live performances – so the star had to be calmed down by partner Marc Anthony over her fears.
"It’s funny because this is the first time I’ve ever been on TV without a script. I was terrified the night before the first live American Idol show," she said. "I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, this is overwhelming!’ I woke up white as a ghost and I was like, ‘Marc! Marc!’ He was like, ‘What’s wrong? You look crazy!’ Even though I have been out there for so many years it is a totally different thing."

Singer Jennifer Lopez had a sour break off with rapper P Diddy, but that didn't deter her from applauding her former beau's performance on an episode of talent hunt reality show 'American Idol'.
Diddy and his group, Diddy Dirty Money, performed his new single 'Coming Home', which was followed by an energetic applause from Lopez, reports dailymail.co.uk.
Lopez was also seen turning to fellow judge Steven Tyler after the performance, and said: 'Nice!'
Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, went ahead and spoke about how impressed he is with the way Lopez has conducted herself as a new judge on the panel.
'She's made me cry like, twice, and she's looked good doing it. And she's made sense so, you know, I'm proud of her. She's a nice person so, you know, when you're super nice, your emotions get the best of you. It's good though - it's good to see that change in the competitive shows. I think she's very refreshing,' he said.
Lopez and Diddy began dating in 1999. They ended the relationship two years later.
Now Lopez is happily married to Marc Anthony, with whom she has twins Max and Emme, while Diddy is a father-of-five.

In the first major elimination of the season, the young woman who wanted to be American Idol's diva-in-training, Ashthon Jones, was voted out Thursday night. Ashthon, 24, who hails from Valdosta, Georgia and lives in Nashville, was chosen as one of three wild cards last week, but she was unable to persuade more than 30 million voters to keep her in the competition. After learning she was at the bottom, Ashthon sang Diana Ross' "When You Tell Me That You Love Me," hoping that the judges would use their one save of the season to keep her going. But it wasn't to be. Her role model, judge Jennifer Lopez, broke the news: "Not this time baby... I'm sorry."
TV Guide Magazine: Your favorite quotation is "Blessed to be stressed"?
Ashthon: No! It's, "Too blessed to be stressed!"
TV Guide Magazine: Were you too blessed to be stressed on American Idol?
Ashthon: Yes. I have nothing to be sad about, or stressed about. I just can't believe I made it this far and I can't wait to see what's gonna happen next. I feel in my spirit that something is gonna come out of this. It was sad for me to leave my friends, and leave the stage, but you gotta keep it moving, not look back, and strive to be the best.
TV Guide Magazine: But you just moved in to the mansion! And you looked so happy bouncing down the stairs.
Ashthon: I know! I would love to have a place like that someday, but it was almost too big.
TV Guide Magazine: Jennifer Lopez spent a great deal of time with you on stage after the show. What did she say?
Ashthon: Jennifer, man, that's my baby. She said, "I was pulling for you. We were all pulling for you. You're a star. You've gotta keep going. I see things for you. And one of the things I want to give you is about the song choices. And that is, if you're in a competition, or if you're an artist, when you pick a single, make sure you pick a hit to be your single. Because that's what it's all about and that''s what your fans are going to remember."
TV Guide Magazine: Do you regret picking a lesser-known Diana Ross song?
Ashthon: Yes, I did at first. But I'm not gonna be down about that, because as I look back, I picked that song because it meant something to me. I loved the lyrics. "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" is such a positive and inspiring song, but it wasn't as big a hit as "I'm Coming Out" or "Missing You."
TV Guide Magazine: What did your professional life look like before, and what does it look like now?
Ashthon: I did music for a while, for about six years, and then I had to go back to working as a retail manager. I sold shoes. And then right before the auditions, my mom called me and said, "You need to go to the auditions for American Idol." And I said, "Mom, I can't get off work right now." And she was like, "Ashthon, trust me, it's your time. It's your moment. Please, just go do it." And I did. I quit my job, just to get my wristband. But at that moment I had to choose my destiny. And I did. So my job is what I'm doing now. I believe in my heart that something will be waiting for me.
TV Guide Magazine: In your after-show interview, you said that you thought the public thought you were someone else. What did you mean?
Ashthon: When I was getting comments from the judges about being a diva, I took them as compliments. I love to put eyelashes on, and do my hair, and my clothes. But I think America took it that I was overly confident in myself. But that confidence doesn't come from me. It comes from God. I'm Ashthon Jones. I'm a regular Nashville country girl raised in Georgia. I'm humble, I'm sweet, I'm not perfect, but my faith is so strong in God. But people didn't see that, and I think it hurt my votes a little bit. But now I'm not in a bubble anymore. I can show the world who I am, and still continue to be the confident diva on stage.
TV Guide Magazine: How worried are you about Casey Abrams, who was hospitalized?
Ashthon: I'm not worried at all. I have so much faith in Casey. I feel in my spirit that he is going to finish well and he's gonna have an amazing career. God is going to heal him.

2011.03.11 / by Ryan TweetShare Lady Gaga reclaims the crown on the Social 50 this week, bumping Justin Bieber back down to No. 2, while Chris Brown makes a handsome jump up the tally and Jennifer Lopez debuts.
Gaga posted a 15% jump in new weekly Twitter followers while she also posted handsome increases in views on both her official YouTube and Vevo channels. While Bieber was up in views on Vevo, he was down in most other measured metrics, thus assisting in his vacating of the top slot.
The Social 50 ranks the most active artists on the world's leading social networking sites -- YouTube, Vevo, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and iLike -- using a formula blending weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with weekly artist page views and weekly song plays.
Meanwhile, Chris Brown vaults 27-14 while Jennifer Lopez debuts at No. 31. Both stars were in the news the past week for different reasons. Alleged self-shot racy photos of Brown leaked to the Web -- perhaps helping raise his social chatter (he's up 18% in new Twitter followers), while Lopez' video premiere for "On the Floor" fired up fans (her Vevo views went through the roof: up by more than 1,000%).
Back in the top 10, it's almost another week of musical chairs as many familiar acts rotate positions. Rihanna and Eminem are steady at Nos. 3 and 4, while Shakira is up three slots to No. 5. Katy Perry and the Black Eyed Peas both descend a slot apiece -- they are at Nos. 6 and 7, respectively. Ludacris returns to the top 10, rising 14-8, as does Avril Lavigne (11-9). Closing out the top 10 is Akon, falling three rungs to No. 10.

Spending another day tending to her "American Idol" press duties, Jennifer Lopez paid a visit to ABC Studios in New York City on Wednesday morning (February 2).
Sporting a sexy black leather dress, the Bronx native took time to sign a few autographs after taping an episode of "Live with Regis and Kelly."
The Big Apple studio visit comes amidst continuous reports of a rift between J Lo and fellow "Idol" judge Steven Tyler.
Claiming that Lopez is fuming over Tyler having stolen the spotlight, a source told press, “She’s mystified at how this happened and has made it very clear to the producers that the cameras need to spend a little more time adoring Jennifer’s favorite idol — herself."
Jennifer is also dealing with the fact that she hasn't been able to help improve ratings, as the insider told, “The show has experienced year-to-year declines of about 10 percent for the last several seasons now, so everyone expected ratings to drop. The only question was how much they drop. And although the show did drop, it still produced huge numbers easily beating all its competition. Last week’s episode was actually up from last Thursday’s episode by nearly 18 percent, and was down only 9 percent from the equivalent episode last year."

She told OK magazine, i>"Everybody gives you a lot of advice when you are pregnant, which I find a tiny bit annoying, so I'm not going to give any."
J Lo added, "But I did read What To Expect When You Are Expecting by Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel. You can go day-by-day with that. It's awesome."

Kicking off the weekend with a romantic evening on the town, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were side-by-side in Brentwood, CA on Friday night (January 28).
The "El Cantante" co-star couple were all smiles as Marc led the way to the car after having dinner with a few friends.
Currently in the midst of her "American Idol" debut, J Lo recently spoke to MTV about a possible duet with Steven Tyler.
She dished, "It could be so fun. And Steven and I have a real love for each other. We really respect each other, but it needs to be the right song, the right moment. It could be good.”
Continuing on about the former Aerosmith frontman, Lopez told, "He’s a very spontaneous person in that sense. You never know what’s going to come out of his mouth, and probably half the show is me kind of looking at him like, ‘What? Did he just say what I think he just said?’"
Things are going well for the new judges of “American Idol” so far, and Jennifer Lopez says she’s having a great time with the gig.

The “Jenny From the Block” singer told press, "I'm so happy that everybody's loving the show. I feel very grateful about that, but I really just wanted to be myself, and I think Steven [Tyler] the same thing.”
“We sat down there and it wasn't like, 'What are we going to do?' It was like, 'You be you.' I think that's why they chose us."
"They knew that he was a good person [and] I was a good person. He was an interesting person. I had my things about me that they felt were interesting. They knew what they were doing. That's why they came to us."
J. Lo added, "It's just been a very natural, fun experience for us, and I think that's what's coming across. But we're also very serious about what we're doing, and I think people get that too. Like, we're not just phoning it in. We actually care about this, we care about the process, we care about music, we care about artists, and you're getting all that. And that's pretty much how we handle it every day. I'm having a good time."
