From one reality show judge to two new ones, American Idol's Jennifer Lopez offers this piece of advice to new X Factor judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato: "Be Yourself."
Speaking with E! News, Monday while walking the red carpet during the L.A. premiere of her new film What to Expect When You're Expecting, J-Lo advised her fellow pop stars who are making the transition to the judge's panel to "Be yourself." "That's what I think every time I'm out there. [I] treat people how I want to be treated," Lopez said.
While her man Casper Smart was working the red carpet by himself, Lopez said she's still hard at work with her ex, Marc Anthony, thanks to their Spanish language show Q'Viva.
"[We] are gonna be performing together in Las Vegas with our whole Q'Viva crew," Lopez told E!. "Marc and I were friends for 10 years before we got married. We got married. We had two beautiful children, and we're still friends. Things disappointingly don't work out the way that you dream them in your mind sometimes. That's life. But, that doesn't mean that the caring goes away or the friendship or the things that brought you together disappear. They haven't for us, so we just want to be great parents and great friends and just try to do things well for them."
The 42-year-old mother of two also explained how she handles juggling work and family. "It is just like any working mom's dilemma. It's tough. It's a balancing act," Lopez says. "You put them first and then you have all these other things that you have to do, that you have to give your time to as well, and you have to make sure that they're OK in the process."

Our livestream of the What to Expect When You're Expecting premiere certainly brought out the movie's big stars, but we were pretty darn excited when a famous face not in the film stopped by to chat. That's right, our favorite bee boy, Casper Smart, gave E!'s Marc Malkin and Catt Sadler the scoop on his relationship with Jennifer Lopez. He even revealed one of her favorite baked goods!
So, what did the 25-year-old dancer have to say about his ladylove?
"She's a beautiful woman," Smart said. "She's a good person like anyone else…we're all just people."
And while Smart said the couple is just "enjoying their life right now" without any formal commitment like an engagement or marriage, he did dish on how their romance began, saying their chemistry was palpable.
"It was really professional for a very long time before anything even happened," Smart said. "It just really spontaneously happened. The chemistry was there. You can't fight it."
While the pair is clearly into each other, things got a little awkward when Malkin asked if the baby-filled movie could make Smart want kids soon.
"I see what you're doing…I'm not playing," Smart said.
But he opened up a bit more later in the conversation, adding, "I for sure want kids in the future. In the future…yes, when I'm ready and when the time is right."
And while Smart was dishing on Lopez, he revealed the one dessert she can't live without.
"Chocolate-chip cookies," Smart said.

During a steamy performance of Lopez's "Dance Again" on Thursday's American Idol, the 42-year-old and her backup dancer beau, 25, got hot and heavy on live TV.
Singling out Smart toward the end of the routine, Lopez -- clad in a sparkly blue bodysuit -- recreated the sultry dance break seen in the “Dance Again” music video.
After showing off his sexy moves, Smart came to his love's aid when she got a piece of confetti stuck in her hair. Quickly removing it as Lopez spoke with fans, Smart's gesture didn't go unnoticed by the performer.
"He's so cute!" she gushed as Smart pulled the confetti from her flowy locks and stepped back in line with the another dancers.
Together for six months, Smart and Lopez's relationship is already on the fast-track.
"She's telling friends she wants to marry Casper," one confidante recently told Us Weekly. "She's certain she wants to be with Casper forever."

The movie couple play expectant parents in the romantic comedy, but Lopez admits their portrayal of a loving husband and wife was a little too much for conservative Jones to bear - and he regularly asked them to tone down their public displays of affection (PDA).
She tells WENN, "I was the envy of the cast. I had Rodrigo Santoro to be my husband. We were an affectionate couple and our very English director Kirk kept telling us to stop.
"I think he was uncomfortable with the PDA. He was like, 'I don't think you guys have to hug and kiss that much!' We were like, 'No, we're Latino and very affectionate.' He was like, 'No, I think we can lay off on that a little bit.' His direction for us was stop touching each other!"
Lopez shot the film just weeks after her split from real-life husband Marc Anthony last summer.

Those of you expecting Fart Man to show up on America's Got Talent are out of luck.
At a press conference today touting his debut on NBC's hit talent competition, Howard Stern promised to bring an honest—and family friendly—point of view to the judge's table when he takes his place alongside copanelists Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne starting with Monday night's premiere.
The shock jock also talked about what to expect this season, ragged on rival TV judges Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears and addressed whether he and former cohort Artie Lange might ever reunit e. Here's what he had to say.
On whether Stern's larger-than-life presence at the dais will raise AGT's ratings, Howard tells E! News that his goal was to "come in and not disrupt" the show as "that would've been a disservice" to fans.
"I didn't want to make it The Howard Stern Show," he said. "I wanted to add my honesty, I wanted to add new flavor to it and, hopefully, the show will be enhanced…You don't know if people [will] like it with me or not, but I just hope they tune in and give it a chance."
When asked how middle-aged female viewers might react to his smooch with Matt Lauer on Today this morning, the King of All Media turned it into a jokingly blunt assessment of his appeal.
"I think a lot of middle-aged women were throwing up when I was making out with Matt Lauer," quipped Stern. "But I want those women to tune into America's Got Talent…And I'd like to bring more people to the table. I'd like people to see me in a different element, and that's kind of exciting too, that I'm being exposed to a different audience."
So what does the radio man think of the talent-evaluating acumen of, say, American Idol's Jennifer Lopez or Britney Spears, who just signed a deal to judge The X-Factor next season? Not much of either, apparently.
"Well, I think it's a wonderful decision. Britney still thinks the earth is flat," joked Stern. "I don't anticipate great opinions from her. I think she's gonna sit there like J.Lo, 'Oh, you're wonderful, you're terrific. You think I can get a perfume endorsement out of this?'...I'll tune in to see what kind of trainwreck she is."
Reps for Spears and Lopez were unavailable for comment.
