Lopez speaks about record label departure Lopez says she's found a new home for her upcoming album, which is now slated for release in the summer of 2010. Jennifer Lopez has assured fans over the future of her new album LOVE? after parting ways with her longtime music label - the record is set for release this summer. The singer's seventh studio album with Sony's Epic Records was due out in April, but her manager announced earlier this week that Lopez had left the label. The 'Jenny from the Block' hitmaker was subsequently hit by rumors she fell out with record bosses at Sony over her new music, with online gossips alleging the album had been thrown into jeopardy by the split. But Lopez is adamant she "reached friendly terms" with Sony chiefs over her departure, and she's keen for Love? to hit shelves as soon as possible. Lopez says, "I am making this statement to put an end to any confusion in regards to my next album, titled Love. I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we've had great success. "I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label. Jennifer Lopez’s Musical Transition Just shortly after the American Music Awards, Jennifer Lopez and label, Sony’s Epic Records, have parted ways. The singer’s manager, Benny Medina , said, “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music Group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction of her career as an actress and recording artist, she is grateful and appreciative to everyone at Sony for all that they accomplished together.” J. Lo’s seventh studio album was supposed to come out in April, but reports have claimed that it is not done yet and may never be completed. While many wonder why the split to her long time label, some suggest Sony let Lopez go because creativity was gone or that her contract was expired, but it is still not the end of her. After stalking into the new year in a sparkly body-hugging cat-suit, Jennifer Lopez's booty set tongues wagging again Friday night - this time in a skin tight black leather suit accessorized with studs and laces. The curvy 40-year-old singer, who was performing on the fourth night of the 2010 Sanremo Italian Music Festival, seems to have maintained her stamina and her curves since the New Year. Lopez sang a medley of her major hits: "Jenny from the Block," "Waiting for Tonight," "Love Don't Cost a Thing," "Get Right" and "Lets Get Loud." No doubt constricted by the tight leather, she didn't perform highly complicated moves, settling for a lot of hip swiveling and stomping. But that was probably enough for the male population. The highlight of the performance had Lopez and her back-up dancers twirling canes for a Charlie Chaplin-esque number. The mother of two took to the stage twice for the festival’s 60th anniversary. During her second act she wore gold tasseled military regalia and sang "What Is Love?" - a single from her new album, "Love?" Noa has fired back by saying that he knows Lopez also made a few sex tapes with ex-boyfriend Diddy. Noa's lawyer says, "Ojani's footage is not a sex tape. In addition to kissing women, there are points where she's lap dancing Ojani [and others]. All with her clothes on. We're trying to establish that it's not a sex tape and therefore usable in Ojani's movie." One-On-One With Jennifer Lopez Jennifer Lopez. J Lo. Jenny from the block. Now -- LOLA. Whatever you call her, she's back in a big way with a new album, a top dance hit and a new movie. CBS 2's Laura Diaz caught up with this very busy mother of two. Lately it seems like J Lo is everywhere. And it's no wonder she has a lot going on these days. And we got a chance to find out just what in this exclusive interview. "It's called 'Love With A Question Mark,' " said Lopez of her new album, set to be released in April. "The things that I chose for the album and the songs that were written for it are about love and the different things about that can kinda be confusing," she said. "The things that everyone wonders about, what is it, could there be a real true love in a once of a lifetime type of thing." Fans already got a sneak peak with the single, "Louboutins." "It's talking about getting your power back as a woman in a relationship with somebody who is doing you wrong," Lopez said. "And the song is about Loubuotin, an example of a high-end item, something that makes you feel fabulous when you put it on -- so put it on, brush your hair, put on your make-up, remember who you are, look in the mirror and remember 'I'm great, I'm strong I'm an amazing person and I deserve better than this,' and then walk up on out of there." Another release of hers "Fresh Out the Oven" skyrocketed on the dance charts. But you won't find it on Love and you wont find her name on it. The artist, well…is LOLA. "The head of my record company Amanda, it was her idea, she found this on her own, she said this record is for Jennifer Lopez, and I said let me hear it, and I loved it but I said, it doesn't fit in with the album that I'm making, she said I don't care if it's not on the record, or we can put another name on it, and that's what we did. We put another name on it and we put it out and it went to number one." It may seem like J Lo's spending all her time in the recording studio lately, giving her music career a boost. But more than ten years after first hitting it big, her film career has also taken off. Well not till March. That's when her new movie from CBS films "The Backup Plan" comes out. "The backup plan is basically about a woman who is at the point in her life where she hasn't met the right person and she wants to have a baby, and decides ok I'm going to do this on my own," Lopez said. "And then she meets somebody." J Lo said it's a funny romantic comedy that fans can appreciate. "I think if they enjoyed the other movies I've done like the 'Wedding Planner,' 'Maid in Manhattan' and 'Monster in Law' -- they're really going to enjoy this one too, so I'm really excited for people to see it." Even the Superbowl is keeping J Lo busy with her husband Marc Anthony being part-owner of the Miami Dolphins. They'll have prime seats for this year's big game. "It's at our stadium this year so we're gonna head down there, we have our box, very coveted little spots there, and we're inviting everyone we love to come down there and watch the Superbowl with us," she said.
